Thanks, cutting and pasting on a mobile device is an art. Particularly when in a hurry!

Yeah it can be a dodgy, I've noticed that especially on the One in the browser at times (post 4.2 upgrade).

yep. Buy a silver one and put it in a black cover. Spend the difference on something nice. Black if necessary......

I saw a black one in person last week and it just looks bland. Nowhere near as stunning as silver.

Yep, went in to NL on Monday to buy one, none in stock at any store other than the display models. Guy reckoned getting some on Friday. Got a call the next day, looking at up to two and a half weeks. Interestingly their website still states 3-4 days lead time.

Suppose when you're only paying $800 you can wait a little.. 2.5 weeks though, that's pushing it..

I turned up at Tory St at 9.10am on the Friday (first day of sale) to purchase the phone, thinking that would guarantee they had stock. Tory St didn't have any stock, but I was told they could transfer one from another store that had plenty of stock at the time, and that it would definitely be with me on Monday. Mysteriously, that stock vanished over the weekend, and the phone is now on back-order. I got the same story as BMT about time frames, and I had to call several times to find this out. Poor form NL.

But yes, at that price, you can put up with some level of poor service.

What is everyone's experience with Google Now? I've had my One for a week and the only info card I get is the weather.. yay.

I realise this isn't HTC One specific, but I'm interested none the less.

Sorry if someone mentioned, but have you tried going to Warehouse Stationary? They sell the same XT model and they even give you 5% below the Noel Leeming price using their price match policy, you just need to take the print out of the price.

I did this. I went in on sunday and asked them to price match.

The guy countered saying no Noel Leeming in Auckland has any stock and they only price match if the store has it in stock. I asked if i could read the policy - and yea it was in the policy that the store needs to have it in stock. I called up Noel Leeming and found that they had stock in the Morrinsvile store. I told the guy that they do have stock at that store (the fine print didnt say it had to be the same city).

In the end, the manager came, saw the price on the website (she just wanted to check that it wasnt an online only offer), price matched it and gave 5% off - 758 all up
