Day 2. Phone is amazing. It's such a step up from the original Galaxy S. Only have had one FC which was Instagram but I'm not worried there. Never thought I would own a white device but this is a thing of beauty. Got that $15 Mecury AV case from NL which is doing the trick.

Can't believe how lucky we have got this weekend with the release of the phone and Queens Birthday sale.

Not sure if it is still applying to S3 though. But Samsung TV, fridge and blue Ray are 20% still.

Wow NL really is generous :)
Do you know if 20% off applying to the PS3 as well?

Mine has been like that too.
Charged it last night. Watched a ton of videos today and still sitting at 76%.

Oh no. My screen may be defective. Was watching a video and in the dark/black sections there are every dark lines all over the screen. Almost ink like smudges . I'm scared...

Try do a screen test.
Type this into your phone dial pad.

*#0*#

Then you'll see the options. Test one by one to see if it is not just glue on the back of the display

Sounds like black crush, a known problem in Samsung's AMOLED HD screens. Supercurio has nearly finished a program that will fix this, so I doubt it's anything to be particularly concerned about.

(also worth checking that the video isn't some horribly low bit rate, as an HD screen will show up artifacts that lower resolutions may not)
