binarybrother: I'm still waiting for mine from NL. Ordered last week and still not here! Is this just a NL problem or does HTC still have major supply issues?

I ordered from NL on the 31st and they told me they aren't expecting stock in until the 20th, so there will be a bit of a wait :(

I've ordered mine from NL last week and was told that it would be in Thursday or Friday. So far nothing. Called their service center and was told there's no stock in the country. They estimate it would take a month!!
Cancelled my order. Went to Dick Smith and print out their offer and took them to Stationary Warehouse. They were glad to match price and offer me one at 899$. Better than stuck with no phone and no ETA from NL.

Yep NL originally said 17th but have now pushed it back to 20th, wouldn't be surprised if there are more delays. Their website still says 3-4 days lead time lol.

For anyone that's interested, you can now S-Off your HTC One.*

Having this available means being able to return your One to a completely untampered state after rooting for warranty purposes.

This method also allows you to bypass HTC for bootloader unlocking.

Does anyone know of a good type of holder or mounting for One in the car?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Personally am using this one

http://www.expansys.co.nz/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-original-vehicle-kit-car-charger-included-231981/

It fits the phone quite nicely, holds it very steady.. good quality

i have used this belkin one in the past and its really crap. shakes too much and the phone can slip out of it:

Dicksmiths own brand one for $20 is reall good. Adjustable size so fits anything from the stupidly small iphones to the bigger Note 2.

Noel Leeming at $899. Or can be negotiated even lower from all accounts.

Unfortunately as noted by other users, there is little to no stock at NL currently.

I'm faced with the option to purchase off TM which has some sellers listing unused (even unopened) devices for $800-$850 buy now

Anyone on 2degrees or vodafone having a problem with 3g network?
Once it loses 3g, it falls back to 2g then it never comes back to 3g (i.e. hangs on 2g - E symbol, no matter where you are) unless you turn airplane mode on and off.
Anyone having a similar problem? Telecom users won't have this problem.

Called up HTC about it and was told to factory reset and stuff but it didn't help.
Before I return it, I just wanted to make sure my one is actually faulty.
Cheers

Someone else mentioned the same issue. Can't remember if it was here or on Xda but it seems to be a known problem and was supposed to be fixed with the 4.2 update. Being on Telecom I can't check if it's fixed or not though.

bigqueez:
bmt: Yep, went in to NL on Monday to buy one, none in stock at any store other than the display models. Guy reckoned getting some on Friday. Got a call the next day, looking at up to two and a half weeks. Interestingly their website still states 3-4 days lead time.

Suppose when you're only paying $800 you can wait a little.. 2.5 weeks though, that's pushing it..

I turned up at Tory St at 9.10am on the Friday (first day of sale) to purchase the phone, thinking that would guarantee they had stock. Tory St didn't have any stock, but I was told they could transfer one from another store that had plenty of stock at the time, and that it would definitely be with me on Monday. Mysteriously, that stock vanished over the weekend, and the phone is now on back-order. I got the same story as BMT about time frames, and I had to call several times to find this out. Poor form NL.

But yes, at that price, you can put up with some level of poor service.

the same story as you, I went to the Tory St on the Friday afternoon and try to purchase one but they told me there is no stock anymore, and they promised they can get some htcone from other store after the queen's birthday.however, nothing happened in the next week. I went to NL on this Thursday and they told me I need to wait more but they didn't give me any deadline. now it reallly annoy me when I look at my htc one case which I bought from trade me, god damn noel leeming!!

They have it on the NL online store for 899, take that to Warehouse stationery and ask them to price match it. You can have one in your hand for about 855 if you like :) (5% price beat)
