I wonder how soon Telecom would release it when it's made available.

Maybe the Telecom online team can give us a heads up as to whether it will be a generic update ( see my previous post) or carrier specific?

If you s-off the device and unlock the bootloader you can flash the developer edition ruu to get the latest updates more quickly ;)

Also, just got my HTC One today and loving it so far!

Anyone already with the device, any tips of cool features to try out?

This. Dev edition should get 4.2 really quickly.

I don't think the TV app supports NZ.

I have a factory S-off model from Telecom.

There's no RUU for 4.2 yet that I'm aware of, the one I used is the leaked European 2.17.401.1 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224752

How are you finding 4.2.2 compared with 4.1.2 on the HTC One?

Overall it's much better, everything feels a little faster. But battery life is not quite as good.

Consensus seems to be the leaked kernel is less than awesome but most likely that will be sorted when it is officially released.

When that happens I'll just flash the dev edition RUU.
