Well i took the plunge & bought a Chuwi V99 Quad Core Retina off trade me for $340. A bit more then i was wanting to pay but the retina option hooked me. Good solid build quality, full Google Playstore functionality & the screen is bloody amazing. For those looking @ the Chinese brands their is certainly junk out their but there also some good brands models floating around. For importing Ployer Momo12 $270 was my preferred choice & the  Ramos W41 $260 off trade me for a local purchase. Onda VI40 is another great model but @ $395 a rip-off.

Saw the Acer Iconia 500 with 3G for $199 at Dick Smiths. The sign said it had a faulty power button that was fixed. Not needing one (though tempted to buy one to resell) told a work colleague who rushed out to get one. It was sold but they had a couple in the back with no fault for the same price. That's a great deal since it's a dual core name brand table that can do ICS I think. The rest were bought by staff apparently.

He told his wife who told her work colleagues who rushed down to a different DSE and got two more. I think they exhausted the supplies at hand.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Hi,
Any chance you can provide a bit more info on what to ask for for this please?

My brother has just asked for info on a cheap but good (?!) tablet, so I'd be interested in this if it's a good deal.

Cheers mate.

Dick Smiths in Dunners was selling the Iconia A500 wifi for $269 and 3G for $289 to get rid of the display models. I was a day late in discovering this. Still intent on replacing my VIGO7 I purchased the Acer Iconia B1 (7 inch), and honestly I'm stunned at how superior it is. It's very snappy, has a better screen and the battery lasts approx 3 times longer. The only downer is that it doesn't have USB hosting. Knowing what I do now I'd even more than likely get this over the VIGO10 given the similar price.
