I'm using ViperOne, it's by far the best modified stock ROM I've come across. It's got levels of customisation that eclipses even CM.

Installed this yesterday, I see what you mean by customisation options, absolutely crazy. Loving it so far.

Im on TrickDroid atm , and have been absolutely satisfied with it since i flashed it.

But from reading the Viper forums, Im seeing alot of bug reports and issues and etc. looks like Viper is not too stable at this moment. What are your experiences so far? and hows the battery ?

It's easily as stable as the stock 4.2 I was using. There were some expected bugs with some of the really advanced tweaking. Most have already been fixed via OTA.

Battery is as good as ever.

Only reason im considering switching to Viper is the Customizations, from what i have seen there are alot more available comparing with other roms. Do you see that much difference between viper and trickdroid? not sure if u have tried trickdroid.

I tried TD when the first 4.2 ROMs came out. Viper is as stable as that but with 100's more customisations. There are a lot more themes and mods for it too.

The guy that did TD is also part of Team Venom that works on ViperOne.

Worth the upgrade as well as paying $2 to remove the add from the tweaks app. Money well spent on this ROM.

What sort of cases do you guys use? Im using an invisibleshield full body protector atm. I havent found a case that i like yet, I want a case that is as premium and good looking as the phone itself, yet not astronomically expensive :DD

I got a few of these Rock hard shells from Ebay for $8ea. I swap the colours around every couple of days. They are more designed for scratch proofing and will protect the screen if it's placed upside down. Not really for protecting against falls, but then I don't like the big cases.

Used my phone for GPS while driving around Melbourne yesterday... Just using stock google nav, plugged into a car kit I bought from vodafone and the battery was going DOWN.. very very slowly, but still losing %rather than gaining.

Anyone else experienced this?

I have, its the power from the source is the issue. I have the same thing charging from USB off a computer, must be a lower amperage or something. Someone around here is bound to know.

Speaking of which, my bed is big, real big, but I only have plugs on one side. I need get power to the other side. At the moment Im using a 2m USB cable, but it takes a really long time to charge, the power drops off because of the length of the cord I guess. So do I have any options other than putting up with it?

Active GPS navigation with mobile data and the screen on full time uses heaps of power. Unless you're using the HTC car kit, staying at the same battery level when those are on is pretty much the best you'll do.

Is viable, but my bed is against two walls (head and right side) and the power is on the left side. I have a waterbed so there is no underneath to it, so I cant really run a cable to the other side.

The VF and Telecom ones are identical.

GPE would be pointless, the LTE bands are different to what would be needed here.

Is there any problem in terms of future updates ? Whether is vodafone or telecom ?

I just heard that, if i buy telecom htc one, i will not be able to use it on future vodafone 4g lte network ?

Is it right ?

Adding to bradstewart best thing I did was go with viper ROM with ElementalX 2.2 kernel plus all the customisations double tap to wake up the phone I have never seen a ROM with so much and nearly all done on the fly.
