lokhor: I'm interested because I'm tossing up between the S4 and the HTC One, I currently have an S3 and get constantly annoyed at the internal storage because it is difficult to move game to the external SD (requires root). I'm wondering whether an HTC One would have enough storage once GPE roms that repartition the internal storage come out. I know the S4 GPE has ~3gb more room (so 12gb instead of 9)
My last two phones (Lumia 920 and the One) have both been 32gb neither with expandable memory and I have not found it any issue at all, if anything it is less hassle as you don't have to muck around searching in two places or moving files around. With a fixed amount of storage you get a bit more creative with how you use cloud services etc, for example I have uploaded about 10k songs to google music and at my leisure on the home wifi save a few albums locally onto the phone and replace once i feel like a change, no reliance on itunes/wmp/pc etc
Interesting dilemma re: S4 vs One, my choice was in a way made for me so as I probably would have taken the safe option of the S4 (given the S2 and S3's history of developer support), I have always been a samsung fanboi but now after owning a One i have come to love the feel and look of the One, the flush power button and sense annoys me immensely but the speakers are phenomenal (for a phone) and make up for any short comings, custom ringtones and notifications surprise everyone with a sense of realism not normally associated with a phone.
In the end for me a 32gb One (hopefully) running pure Google or a customized version of GE ticks pretty much all the boxes, the S4 still looks like a S3 or Note2 and still has that plastic feel which i tired of with my S3,
