Does anyone know where I can where I can buy one in Christchurch? It seems there are stores other than Vodafone, eg JB, but I don't know which ones have ChCh branches. I don't think there's a JB in ChCh, is there?

dpw: Why wouldn't you just pick up a telephone and start calling around, you would have a more accurate answer faster than if someone from here replied :)

Of course I would, and that's what I plan to do tomorrow. However, if someone has any insights, such as which stores can potentially stock them, or if VF only supplies them online, etc. it will save me a whole bunch of time. Just asking for help - that's all.

I'd try JB first.

Are you referring to JB HiFi? If so, I can't seem to find a store in ChCh listed on their website.

There is no JB HIFI in Chch. Which sucks considering their prices are used by EQC to give lower payouts on electronics earthquake claims. Had an argument with EQC on the topic a few months ago.

Ordered from Clove the original battery for S3 01/06 NZ time (31/05 UK time), which was still showing first stock available on 01/06, got an email on 05/06 from them to say order has dispatched/shipped, got the battery today. This was via royal mail.

This is what I called exceeding expectation, I am very impressed, took all of 2 days to get here when I expected it to be at least a week.

The case I orderd from Ebay even though got shipped out earlier has yet to be seen and it was coming from China or Hong Kong. Hopefully will get here soon.

Now..onto the next item on the list: desktop charger, where are you at???

FWIW - Telecom have generic cases for the S3 in stock, or at least the Lambton Quay store did.

for those that asked, I talked to my brother, he was talking to Telecom today, Telecom are sitting on a vast amount of phones, and have been for the past week or so.....their only explanation was "we're waiting to see if the telecom stores need stock or something" and my brother suspects VF are doing the same but to a smaller degree because they are pumping theirs out in drips and drabs

sounds a bit weird or is it to see if the pricing goes up due to demand, who knows but doubt they have blue?

To those that have orders with Warehouse Stationery, have you had any communication from them about the delay and likely shipment?  I placed an online order on 23 May and haven't heard squat from them.

I sent an email (I was in Dubai at the time) asking if they would honour a reduction in price given the 20% discount NL was offering on the S3.  Again nothing from them. Had they replied over the weekend (probably their Customer Service staff weren't working) with a NO I could have cancelled and had my Mum order the 2 phones from NL.  Now of course they don't have to do anything.  Strikes me as funny they say they'll respond to inquiries within 1 business day and here we are EOD Thursday.

Trying not to get in a fluster over the delay otherwise I'll just get impatient and be refreshing the order page hourly.

If anyone is the know about the WHS order status could you let me know what you've heard.  Cheers

Yes, it is isn't it? Laughing

I'm just sick of a certain Cupertino-based company thinking they can litigate any competition out of the market. . . .
