Thanks for the retail service and warranty comments.

On another note -

Is it possible to use a USI Stylus (Universal Stylus Initiative) like say an iPlume or another type of pen to jot down notes on your Pixel 4a?

If so, would that be a good interface to use to resemble anything slightly close to pen and paper?

Not sure if a stylus would work or not, but given how smoother the screen is I doubt it'd be much like paper unless the stylus does something special. Not sure I'd bother, I use voice recognition a lot and it's pretty good, you need to edit it afterwards but it's pretty good.

timmmay:

The international model will come with a generic USB charger, which probably isn't as good as the Google fast charger. They won't supply the US charger and a plug adapter as it's illegal.

The AU/NZ model may come with an NZ version of the Google fast charger in the box if you're lucky. I'd try that one. They work with any standard charger / fast charger so doesn't really matter, most people have plenty of chargers already.

Can anyone actually confirm this?

I received mine with a UK fast charger, I use it rarely through an adapter...seems to work OK and is fast.

It also comes with a normal/rubbish NZ slow charger.

I've had no real issues with them. On the other hand the commerce commission comments last week indicate there are frequent problems.

Has anyone used Big Apple Buddy?

Parallel Imported has it now:

Priced a little bit high although they do provide a one year warranty, um along with a non-cga compliant speech about extended warranty ime. At least that was my experience when buying Pixel 2 a few years back. I would probably buy again tho. I think I paid a deposit in store and picked up in store. It was a few days later than advised, not an issue at the time. They have been around for a long time.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I haven't used parallel imported in around a decade, because last time I used them they were extremely difficult to deal with if anything goes wrong. They may have improved.
