Went into 2degrees Christchurch store tonight to get new microSIM (was the last thing on SGSIII to do list). They said they are expecting new stock tomorrow (Friday), and that there are Blues in the order but are all allocated to pre-orders.

MRGSM021: I Also ordered a landscape dock off ebay today for US$12.99 incl shipping (USB Data Sync Battery Charger Cradle Dock For Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300 ( 270990353505 ) and am waiting for clear TPU case - US$5.58 (Clear Stand TPU Back Cover Case For Samsung i9300 Galaxy S 3 SIII ( 140762392909 ).

I'm concerned about having such a big phone sitting upright in a dock in case I catch it on something (being naturally clumsy) and the landscape dock will be cool for watching videos while docked. They landscape dock was only a couple of dollars more and came with a cable as well (already got plenty but one more doesn't hurt). Time will tell if it works with a case on the phone.

Have already checked that my microSDHC 32GB card can do exFAT (just in case I end up with an HD video file greater than 4GB.

Think that's all the hardware I need at the moment. Except for the phone - I'm hoping NL gets stock next week but Vodafone don't have any information on due dates.

Yeah but if next week Samsung can made enough devices then it still need one more week for world wide delivery.
So unless it is being shipped to NZ now and will get here by the weekend then distributing by next week across the country. Otherwise we will not see the new stock coming until between 20june -8 July. We might get our phones when the yankies got theirs.

mrgsm021: Ordered from Clove the original battery for S3 01/06 NZ time (31/05 UK time), which was still showing first stock available on 01/06, got an email on 05/06 from them to say order has dispatched/shipped, got the battery today. This was via royal mail.

This is what I called exceeding expectation, I am very impressed, took all of 2 days to get here when I expected it to be at least a week.

The case I orderd from Ebay even though got shipped out earlier has yet to be seen and it was coming from China or Hong Kong. Hopefully will get here soon.

Now..onto the next item on the list: desktop charger, where are you at???

I cant find the spare battery on Clove UK anywhere?

MurrayM: This case looks quite nice: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Soft-Gel-Skin-S-Line-Wave-TPU-Case-Cover-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-S-III-i9300-/261022821036?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cc62c2aac

A mate has one of them, power button and volume rocker isn't cut out so it's all mushy and a pain the ass, looks nice though

So it's just a case of popping into a 2degrees store and asking for a microSIM? Does it matter that you don't have the phone just yet? Do they charge you for a microSIM?

I bought a couple of those TPU back covers, they are pretty good because they go around the entire phone, only things is they don't have holes cut out for the volume and power buttons which makes utilising those buttons a bit cumbersome. I only paid A$2.50 for mine on ebay Australia. Only took three days to arrive which was good.

Also bought a Nillkin cover, which is nice and light, but doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone which could be a problem. Had a similar type of cover on my S1 and dinged the top of it throwing it into a bag.

I am sure there is a happy medium somewhere between the two.

Looking at that dock too, good price.

MicroSim's are about $5 or $10. Got mine from Dick Smith and you don't need the phone straight away. When you get the phone and want to transfer your number, just ring 2d and they will sort it, you just have to give them a long number off the packet the microSim came in

I just got Telecom to cut my normal simcard. He said that it probably won't last as long and I will need to buy one eventually.

Also WHS are replacing my SGSIII. They are just waiting for stock. Stoked!

Lol but that meant you are in luck :)
Oh cut SIM will last the same. Also if it doesn't then what is the problem with getting a new one when that happened :-p

Oh no you didn't say that. :) Please ask him about the blue 32GB for me too. I am actively seeking any news about it.
