MRGSM021: I Also ordered a landscape dock off ebay today for US$12.99 incl shipping (USB Data Sync Battery Charger Cradle Dock For Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300 ( 270990353505 ) and am waiting for clear TPU case - US$5.58 (Clear Stand TPU Back Cover Case For Samsung i9300 Galaxy S 3 SIII ( 140762392909 ).

I bought a couple of those TPU back covers, they are pretty good because they go around the entire phone, only things is they don't have holes cut out for the volume and power buttons which makes utilising those buttons a bit cumbersome. I only paid A$2.50 for mine on ebay Australia. Only took three days to arrive which was good.

Also bought a Nillkin cover, which is nice and light, but doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone which could be a problem. Had a similar type of cover on my S1 and dinged the top of it throwing it into a bag.

I am sure there is a happy medium somewhere between the two.

Looking at that dock too, good price.

These cases look ok, they go all the way around the phone and have hole cut for buttons.

My brother is getting sick of me ringing him, every day, asking the same question "where's my phone bitch?" he did talk to the rep today, and got annoyed with them cause they said they had the phones sitting there doing nothing, my brother didnt like that, preorders are preorders, I will ask him about the 32gb blues

A friend in Ireland just received his Pebble Blue moments ago.

I wonder if they stock 2degrees have is part of the allocation for WHS pre orders.

Who else ordered online and was charged immediately? It's against Visa regulations to do so but what's the point arguing that. Perhaps pre orders taken in store haven't yet been charged. No way for me to get any indication whether the phones have been despatched.

And I realise I'm already impatient by the need to ask questions that are probably impossible for anyone other than WHS to answer.

Must take a chill pill ;-)

I asked my friend in Ireland about the colour and what he thought of it. Here is his response :

@Neets_ its gorgeous. Its the new colour. Back is metallic blue/chrome and front is pebble blue. Can look blue or grey depending on light

This may be a completely random questions, but after seeing the new HTC One X vs Galaxy S III flyer that HTC are putting out, has made me see red. Comparing the two here, the Galaxy SIII is a lot faster in burst mode.

Better processor. Obviously they are vying for the incorrect "clock speed is everything" argument, and fail to talk about real world performance

I'd estimate it about 5-6fps, while the One-X is about 2-3, although the false shutter sound makes it sound higher.

Also, it says the Galaxy S III is Plastic. When it's magnesium structure, with a polycarbonate glazed surface?

Better sound. Yeah right, i was disappointed in beats, and would a better physical DAC anytime!

Better screen. OK it can have that one! Apart from contrast

Better design. Subjective, I would say I prefer the GSIII now since it doesn't ahve a black bezel round it's screen

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

I got my hands on an S3 over Queen's birthday weekend (Vodafone Sylvia Park) and it is an awesome phone. Definitely an upgrade from my Galaxy S. I also managed to get a case the same day from Noel Leeming (also at Sylvia Park).

I did experience something strange, the other evening I pulled my phone out my pocket and everything worked - but the screen was only displaying shades of green. Not sure if you can imagine the phone working as per normal, home screen, app drawer etc, but everything looked like those green nightvision goggles you see on movies. I instantly restarted and have not had this issue since, but I'm wondering if I should return it to Vodafone. I was wondering if anyone else had any similar issues, or if it's an AMOLED thing?

The only similar thing I found while searching was this post on XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100822.

However, I haven't dropped my phone or otherwise abused it at all.

I opposed to the better screen part. Amoled is a better screen but I would agreed to sharper looking screen on OneX but it is not better. I'd preferred true black and battery saving instead of LCD screen.

Telecom just called, my blue phone is in the country they say and they want to send it direct to me!

The chick also said come monday the price will have reduced by $200 so is giving me credit! Sounds like $850 might be available for all!

I quite liked the look of the wave ones too, but as I'm getting a blue eventually, decided I'd try a clear one first. If you have a white GSIII there are some which are clear except for the wave on the sides which I would have otherwise bought - they looked really good with the white phone showing through IMHO. And the one I ordered also has a fold out stand on the back (might be a bit gimmicky and not work properly, but for the price it's worth a go)
