Jared777: I should probably sort out this micro-sim business.

I'm with Vodafone pre-pay at the moment. Shall I get them to cut my sim or buy a new micro-sim and get them to transfer my number over? Anyone else in a similar position?
I'm planning to stay with Vodafone pre-pay for now....

I'm in exactly the same situation as you.

How hard are they to cut yourself, without one of those cutter thingies?  Is there a template somewhere?

I think it costs $30 to get a micro SIM at a Vodafone store.

I've ordered my cutter from Ebay about a week ago. And if you're living close by Hamilton then I'll be too happy to help you cut your SIM when my cutter arrived.

Jared777: Just got a call from WHS in Wellington (Victoria St).... My blue GS3 has arrived!

Lucky. I was told by Noel Lemming my Blue 16GB would be here this week. I just called them and it still hsn't arrived. I might pop into the store on my way home and see if they have arrived since I called.

Nice to know NL are saying something other than 'we have no information for you and you were told there will be a very long delay in stock arriving'.

I just called NL and the CSR told me that they do not have any in stock and will be sometimes after the mid of June though to be precise the date would be 17th June. That is what he said.

I was told exactly same thing at the store last night.

That is generic S3. I asked if they have any S3 in stock. That is including 16/32 blue/white of whatever they have.

sittingduckz: Pebble Blue is now available @ Vodafone

Vodafone Website still saying "Demand is high. We can process your order now but please note delivery time could now be 1-2 weeks from today."

I would not say that Vodafone has it in stock.

Sam: Hi, I’m Sam, a Vodafone Online Shop specialist. This chat is a new Vodafone online service.
Sam: Do you want me to help you with your online purchase?
You: Is Blue S3 available now?
You: I can see the option to choose colour on the website
Sam: I’m sorry. I’m currently helping other customers at this time. You are position 1 in the queue and we will be with you in about 1 minute. I appreciate your patience.
Sam: Thank you for your patience, I will be with you in about 1 minute.
Sam: Yes we have the Blue SII now available.
Sam: Let's move this chat and make it a window of its own. That way, you'll still see this web page while we chat. Please click 'Move My Chat' to move it now.
You: oh wowYou: is that in 32GB?
Sam: Its still only 16GB sorry.
Sam: Thank you for moving the chat.
You: So when will 32GB version coming?
You: Can you help me with the date?
You: release date that isSam: We do not have a release date yet sorry, i am not sure if we will get the 32GB in.

This is what I got from Vodafone. They do have them in stock now but only in 16GB version.

Yeah but that don't do any good to most of us ordering from Noel Leeming lol. I've already paid in full to NL for my 32GB.

From Vodafone Rep:
Sam: There are a few people asking about it, having the good phone i am not sure why they dont have the higher memory phone in.

Sam: I have talked to my manager and he said we currently have no arrival date for a higher GB SIII. Sorry.

I think I'll try making my own Micro SIM first, there are plenty of tutorials and videos around that show you how: http://www.solutios.com/simcutting/

If that fails then I'll just go and buy one.

Yeah I read about the red ones yesterday, I don't like the look of them.

Interesting that the US are getting 2GB RAM and the rest of the world get 1GB.  I wonder what the reason for this is?

Its only dual core 1.5ghz and LTE so there is a trade off.

The reason is LTE requires a bit more memory than 3G and also to help Samsung get more customers from the US market. It is to make it more appealing than its competitors with similar chipset aka OneX.

@Bacha: I think it would be an ugly phone lol. If the front is black with red back cover then I think I can live with the consequences. But the front is Red + back is red then man I'd commit suicide after a few days of using it :D

*Only just tech suicide not going to kill myself for a phone lol.
