Not sure the colour works though...  (ew)

Yeah I read about the red ones yesterday, I don't like the look of them.

Interesting that the US are getting 2GB RAM and the rest of the world get 1GB.  I wonder what the reason for this is?

The reason is LTE requires a bit more memory than 3G and also to help Samsung get more customers from the US market. It is to make it more appealing than its competitors with similar chipset aka OneX.

@Bacha: I think it would be an ugly phone lol. If the front is black with red back cover then I think I can live with the consequences. But the front is Red + back is red then man I'd commit suicide after a few days of using it :D

*Only just tech suicide not going to kill myself for a phone lol.

haha black + red would be awesome. We can always try different back cases to see how it would look.

LTE, Northern US ones use different processor and thus can take more memory.

I don't know if any of you like the simple jelly cases (I do). I found a white one, will cost 15NZD for the case including shipping.

They have quite a few different style cases on their site.

Oh yes I think Exynos 4Quad has a limit maximum RAM of 1GB. God damn-it Samsung.

Just picked up my 16GB blue from Noel Lemmings. They had 8 pre orders at the Lyall bay Noel Leeming but only 2 arrived so if you pre ordered at Noel Lemming I would call and ask if yours is there. Just opening the box now! Mine is the Vodafone sourced one from Noel Lemming.

Looks nice. In low light the back looks shiny gray. Under halogen it looks amazing. Like gray brushed metal. In sunlight it looks good. Dark purple or depending on the angle of the light Dark gray with a hint of blue and the brushed look.

Dare I ask how the colour has turned out?

Well looks my predictions of the blue not arriving before the end of the month were wrong. Hope I didn't make any bold assertions ;)

It looks really good. I will post some photos once I have gone and grabbed a sim from town. It varies greatly depending on the angle and source of light. Under no circumstance does it look unattractive. Looks best under halogen lights so far. Pretty cool in sunlight but a bit purple but you get the nice brushed look.

Yes mine is also. I just phoned them and they said the phone will be made once the order is placed. So basically Samsung is making it on the go for whoever ordering it and they have none in stock.

Happy chappy.  Just phoned WHS about the whereabouts of the Pebble Blue phones. They've been received at the Papanui warehouse and will be sent either today or Monday.  I also questioned about the inquiry I made about the discount NL were offering and apparently a reply was sent to me.

WHS said they are honouring the discount and as soon as the phones have been received to contact them back and they'll put through a refund.

Just got to wait for the phone, hopefully it's here Monday rather than Tuesday. I know of one person who ordered in-store and is picking his up this afternoon.  Seems online orders will take longer to process.

Ring WHS in Blenheim Road. They rang me this morning and offered me one (as I had cancelled my pre-order because they couldn't match NL's price) so I assume that meant they had a spare one there in store.
