n95: Ok I'm?going?with the?conspiracy theory that was put to me that NL are extending the delivery time of the S3 to try and put off as many of the hundreds who preordered in their Queens Birthday 20% off sale stuff up as they can. That way people will pull out, get refunds and NL minimise their loss on this deal.

All these people who supposedly got the blue S3s from NL in the last couple of days don't really exist?Wink

My mum pre ordered at NL over Queens birthday. She checked by phone Friday and was told no, but arrived home to a voice message saying it was ready for collection. Picked it up Saturday. It's a Pebble Blue.

I think I'm off to bed for now. Have developing S3 insomnia lately and have been checking the internet until 2am every night reading any news updated via Google. Got to rest for tonight and get to work early in the morning.

Little video showing off connection options for the S3 - MHL, RDP, USB OTG, PS3/XBoX/Wii controllers etc etc

http://www.androidnz.net/2012/06/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-connectivity-demo.html

Also got NOVA 3 on my S3 and playing it via MHL on my HDTV with a PS3 controller over bluetooth (every bit as freaking sweet as it sounds).

not sure if this has been covered but worth a look

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27139359&postcount=41

the one little disapointment ive had with the s3 so far has been the redraw i've seen on my home launchers when home button'ing out of a big app, like chrome on www.stuff.co.nz

didn't matter what launcher i used ..TW/nova/apex ..the all redrew time to time.

my S2 with the same amount of ram never had that issue, suspect a more mature state of the S2 ICS build, and this little tweek might be an example of it.

giving it a shot.  you'll need to be rooted and use something like root explorer of course.

just FYI my S2 on XWLP3 (ICS) has

heapstartsize=5m
heapgrothlimit=128m
heapsize=128

ok after the edit , and a reboot ...instant improvement.

video - to video inset mode ...to chrome with 5 tabs incl stuff.co.nz full site - home button and a rock solid transition back to home and the video never skipped a beat.

will let you know if it keeps it up

Can you confirm if the new MHL cable works with the S2 as well.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has the phone and is getting people reporting they aren't hearing you well?
