Samsung Galaxy S III receives first official firmware update

"The Galaxy S III has gotten its first firmware update. This brings the phone up to firmware version LF2. So far, it seems to be coming to the unlocked UK version, and is being pushed out through Kies and over the air. The update brings with it a slew of stability improvements, although the specifics of these improvements is yet unknown. It does come with a new radio and kernel, and is still based on Android 4.0.4."

I am looking forward to this, I must admit I am not as impressed with my S3 as I'd like to be given the call issues I keep experiencing. Initally I thought it was reception issues, but I am thinking now that it's potentially a problem with the microphone or something.

Seems to be legit. Speed test found read at 20MB/s and write at 19MB/s with memory to USB adapter on my computer.

@Integer how did you get on with this, I have one ordered from ebay as well. Can you confirm it works fine in the S3

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

It works flawlessly on my friend's S3 :) I have not tried this with my S3 because I am still waiting for it to knock on my door. But the card is genuine SanDisk. H2tw tested found the correct size and did a full write test on the memory card as well. Seems to be okay though I gave up half way through because it is taking too long to write 59.4GB of data to my card. But you're safe with this seller.

The shipping may be a bit slow because he is shipped mine with standard snail mail. It took 10days to get to my address. Though to be precise it took 13days from the day I bought it but he start shipping 2 days later.

Full write test can only be done with 60378 of 60379MB.

I was a bit nervous about it because most documentation says Max 32GB only. But I saw NZtechfreak (I think) tested the 64GB as working fine.

Loving the phone, even though it's white. Never thought I would like a white phone, but I love it now!!

I got mine off trademe (dark grey) It fits the phone perfectly and has a kind of suede feel to it (hard to describe) I haven't been able to mark or scratch it yet.

I have one of that case too lol and the carbon fibre look a like one.

The ROCK case is awesomely touch and texture is premium quality and the most important thing is looks great with white and blue phone.
