I've just ordered a couple of screen protectors on TradeMe: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=3254177. $1.99 each and cheap postage in a fastpost envelope.

Each comes with a cleaning cloth and he put up a different multiple unit auction straight away when I asked as there were only 1x or 10x listings. I've just ordered 2x so hopefully will arrive on weekend.

BTW, just comparing my clear TPU case with my trusty old LG500 Optimus and if I hold it sideways I can see that the SIII screen footprint will be about twice the size - really looking forward to getting my hands on the phone now!

Good idea though!

Just make sure nobody is peeing at the urinal behind you

I got mine off trademe (dark grey) It fits the phone perfectly and has a kind of suede feel to it (hard to describe) I haven't been able to mark or scratch it yet.

In that traders photo for these cases, is the case that looks black in the auction photo actually dark grey?

Hi

Does anyone know how to show up my phone number in Settings-About Device-Status- My phone number? Currently my phone shows unkown number and even if i go to call settings-additional settings-CallerID- and change it to show my number, under My phone number it still shows unknown.

I have a 2degres S3 and using vodafone sim on it.

Has anyone got the same issue? or know how to resolve it?

OK, clicking on the rockphone link answered my question as there are only 3 colours available. The dark grey one in the smaller picture looked black on my monitor but if you scroll to the bottom of the page they are definitely grey...

lol true :) to take the top of the phone all you need a reflector mirror. Which meant you'll need another piece of mirror and all it takes is some angle adjustment

Rang up WHS. Apparently Samsung just received the phone and are now going to inspect it over the next few days. Was sent to them a week ago. Not sure when I'll expect my replacement but WHS say they will keep me updated. They say they might know by next week.

Thought they would be a bit more on to it tbh. Gah I hate all this 'sending away for inspection' business. I wish they would just issue me with a replacement without going through all this drama.

@nofam, are you having a lend of me, or are you genuinely interested in knowing what *my* SGS3 looks like front on? I've got a black splotch on my screen which I wouldn't have known about had I not run the test (*#0*#). I wish I hadn't run the test.

My second one turned up, think Noel Leemings recieved their stock today, same time I was coming in, a woman was picking up a blue S3 16GB

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.
