Gulp, well when I hold my phone it's held so that pretty much the entire bottom part (Near the antenna on that picture) is in the palm of my hand.. How do YOU guys hold it?

Signal Strength varies between 83dBm and 93dBM and 11asu and 13asu and presently it's showing connected at UMTS:3

If I hold the phone the way I have always held my phones, I get down to 8asu and 97dBm

networkn: Sad news, same issue with the new phone. I am wondering if it could be "how I am holding it"!

Basically I don't seem to have the issue if I use a bluetooth headset, but if I hold the phone the other end can't hear me (like I went on mute). It can happen any time during a call or multiple times. Doesn't seem to happen on speakerphone I have determined either.

Could possibly be your bluetooth headset fault? no? I have no idea. I can't say much either because I don't have an S3 yet :(

sultanoswing: Any recommendations on reasonable set of headphones (up to $100)?

[EDIT: Would prefer earbuds for compactness, but external cans considered too!]

I've got a pair of Sennheiser mx470's which I'm quite happy with, usually listen to music with my Sony mp3 walkman, they were only about $50, they're not overly punchy in the lows but fairly flat across the mids and highs so music reproduction is decent.
They aren't canal phones so I can still hear what is going on around me when I'm cycling/walking which is fairly important for my use.

The Stock gs3 headphones don't sound too bad from the short listen i've given them, they do feel a little flimsy though.

From facebook page. Dont think I missed someone else posting it

"Samsung Mobile NZ Hey Ric, thanks for your interest in the 64GB Galaxy S III however currently we don?t have plans to introduce this in NZ"

Couple of questions on 32 but no reply beyond " Please keep an eye out for a future announcement on availability of 32GB models" and "Hi Stephen, Samsung Galaxy SIII Car Docks are expected to be available in New Zealand by early July".

They keep saying no issues on 16 stock and people keep posting there are.

Popped back to Noel Leeming and they'll replace my SIII due to the red stuck pixels. Of course, I have to wait for a replacement to arrive but can hold onto my current one until it's available.

Anyone tried flashing 2degrees firmware to allow the full snapper experience? (for those on Telecom/VF handsets but using 2degrees)

Updates is over the air and it is not strictly to each provider. Which simply saying you have no trouble updating or receiving update once it is available whether you are using vodafone SIM or 2Degrees

How do you set your default device in the play store, and also how do you remove apps you never want to install again from the my apps area in the play store? I want to just have the ones I actually use in there now. I have about 12 pages of them and each new device I want to load apps onto is a pain.

Taking some getting use to
I've come from CM9 SGSII to stock ICQ on the SGSIII
Few things, what ROMs are people running (CM9 isn't out for SGSIII yet)
-How to customise my dialpad to be like CM9's pad (dont like the iphone/basic dialpad)
-Make the background pan as you move between home screens
-Change transition style between home screens

Oh theres heaps of little things, I love CM9
