ronw: I guess I may as well have a go at rooting the Desire good learning curve. any suggestions on to good website that i can read up on doing this
From what I have read I have to root it now or I wont be able to do it after upgrade
One reason for rooting is that the
Desire does not support Enterprise-wpa2 Peap wifi in its current form which means it cannot be used in any decent wifi environments. Why anyone would sell a phone that cannot operate in a secure wifi area I dont know. Many universities use Enterprise wifi so must be a lot of mad Desire owners out there
