yesterday when i bought my phone i set up samsung account google account etc and everything was going fine, was playing around and had trouble with a couple apps so i reset phone

now i cant sign into google play it just sits there for 2 hours signing in

did not have this problem yesterday

Reboot your phone and it should fixed this problem

I have reset it first it asks for samsung acc that goes fine, then google address and it just doestn wanna sign in 3 hours later now its still saying signing in

feel really silly but googled rebooting and after i had reset it and nothing changed, rebooting fixed it htank you very much :) very happy s3 user again

yes it will fly on XT seeing theres a tower all of .5 of a km away ( infact less as i can see it 6 blocks from my back door ) and the next vodafone tower is 50kms away....

Approx where are you? I find it difficult to believe that the nearest Vodafone cell is 50km away

Waimate in the south island 50kms from timaru ok there is a site up at studholme but i still get drop outs in some rooms of the house

I'm using Handcent and have configured my led to go green when I get a text, otherwise it's blue for an email. Hmmm, maybe I should tweak it for a missed call. Still haven't installed lightflow, but if it's going to impact on battery life I might give it a miss.

I think maybe he means the extra data that some games like Gameloft ones have to download. As far as I am aware there is no easy way to transfer them to the external SD

after taking charger off in the morning my battery lost 5% with out use :( ....want to try improve on battery life ...rooted ph now going to customs rom ,"RGUI V2".....

MurrayM: I use 3G Watchdog to keep track of my 3G data usage. ?Is this still needed or is there something built-in that lets me see that I've used up 70% of my monthly allowance and if I keep going at this rate I'll have used 120% by the end of my monthly billing cycle?

ICS has an inbuilt data manager and you can set alerts.

ajobbins: First full day of using my new S3. I'm down to 43% battery after 5 hours off the charger. Granted I've been playing with it a bit - but not constantly. Have turned off all the motion and face detection stuff but no have SIP internet calling on for incoming - but so far not at all impressed with the battery life for what I am doing.

Saw your tweet about that today... I'm sitting on 50% after 12hrs.. All motions on, no face detection tho. wifi and data on all day, 2.5 hrs screen time.

I'm wondering if it's your SIP that's doing it or a bad battery.

Have you looked in settings> battery to see what's been using it all?

Looks like most of my apps including the gameloft ones are all installing to the SD card....not sure why, is that a Samsung feature?

Looks like by default most apps are installing data to the SD Cards? the following checked, and have almost 95% of the data on the SD, with the other few MB on the system druve:
Hot Pursuit
Nova 3
DeadSpace
GTA3

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

It must be internal SD. Have you checked usage on your external? I can't install any apps on my external =/

Whoops yep it's the internal SD

External is empty still
