Just received my casemate tough case and screen protector from clove. Not too happy with the case really, had the toughcase on my sgs1 and the buttons sit flush or just inside the outer case, yet on the sgs3 case they sit about two mm proud of case.

I'm sure I will adjust to it.

Also, is there a reason why old screen protectors didn't seem to give the screen a matt finish like the ones I have seen recently on the one x and the one I've just purchased from casemate.

Prey is free for up to three devices. Luckily I haven't had to really 'put it to the test'.

On a related note, here's a blog post from someone who lost their iPhone and their experience tracking it down with Find My Friends, interesting read:?http://www.teamdf.com/blog/lost-found-my-iphone/169/

I use lookout.. worked fine on my sensation, and now on my acer tab and my s3

Do you have light flow lite app installed? If you do, you will have to turn off accessibility.

Hopefully most people un-installed it after they heard about the battery drain issues (I certainly did). Not too much of a difference noted without it (in terms of notifications)

You can still use Light Flow Lite. Just turn off accessibility for Light Flow from Settings>Accessibility

On a related note, here's a blog post from someone who lost their iPhone and their experience tracking it down with Find My Friends, interesting read: http://www.teamdf.com/blog/lost-found-my-iphone/169/

Have you tested Prey to make sure it works?  Several months ago I loaded it on my old HTC Magic and tried to get it working but not once did it every work 100%.  The Samsung Dive locator service has so far worked every time I've tried it (once I got my phone number entered in the proper format!)

Yep, I have tested Prey to make sure it works. It kicked off when I was travelling overseas and put in a different sim card. I started getting tracking reports of where my phone was every 10 - 15 minutes.

Same thing happened when I moved from my HTC Desire to SII and again when I took my sim card out of my SII to move to SIII. I really like Prey - very intuitive to use. Luckily I haven't lost my phone or had it stolen to really 'put it to the test' but hope I don't have to.

You've had better luck with Prey than me.  It was never able to locate my HTC Magic.  Nor when I transferred my SIM card to my S3.  Maybe I didn't have it set up correctly.

Thought I'd give an update on flashing the Vodafone NZ ROM.

The only CSC included is KOR. There's no Vodafone CSC.  I think that's odd.

The other thing of note, when I flashed using Odin, it did not wipe my phone. It booted up looking exactly the same. I know it flashed since the list of CSC's changed.

You'll have to do a factory reset, either before or after wont matter.

It's only after I factory reset that the Device Status changed from "modified" to "normal".  And it took a long time to register that it was "normal".

I guess you need a bit more research. Vodafone ROM has nothing to do with carrier branding and the only difference is the modem. Everything else s the same as international ROM.
Telecom ROM may be had some carrier branding inside csc and few apps modded. Oh and start up animation.

It's certainly a departure from how it was with the Vodafone I9000 and I9100 - both had the CSC VNZ.

Yep Vodafone ROM is the same as international. But that won't mean that you'd receiving update the same time :)
