Hey i do have reciept and can assure u its legit. its warehouses current promotion ryt now to beat any price by 5 percent but u just gotta hassle them about it. The only reason i was getting this price was coz i was originaly going to just ask for my money back and go to noel leeming cuz they had it cheaper.

Noel leeming rrp bowt 850
warehouse stationary 5percent around 780-90

If they dont do it for you guys go get them to talk to the manager in newmarket where i got mine for this price

Btw I am talking about the s3, not the x..

P1n3apqlExpr3ss: It's not on their website but ring them up - 0800 44 44 88 and they'll confirm it

You can order one now at the cheaper price and get it when they have stock. Wairau park is the only store I know that still has stock

I went into Noel Leeming at Wairau Park but they're sold out.  They did offer to sell me one at the 20% off price but they didn't know when the next shipment was due, "Maybe in two weeks or so" was the best they could tell me.  I went across the road to Harvey Norman, who had them in stock at $1049, but they wouldn't budge on that price even when I mentioned Noel Leeming.  In the end up I didn't buy from either of them, mainly because of the shop assistant's attitude.  Should have gone to Warehouse Stationary across the road from them but didn't think of that.

I'll chime in as well. If you're going to be on Telecom then until the HTC is updated to version 1.28 then I wouldn't recommend it due to the poor battery life and the lag.

If you'll be using one on Vodafone or 2degrees then I'd recommend it as their phones are running 1.28 and it makes it a lot smoother and supposedly improves battery life quite substantially.

I think your best bet would be to go into a shop and have a play with both phones and see which one you like the look and feel of better.

I haven't played with the S3 but the One X didn't blow my socks away and I did not feel there was any reason to upgrade my GN. Not havingr removable battery would bug me on any phone. Well try to get S3 to evaluate when my provider has some spare.

I rang the Warehouse Stationery Albany store and spoke to a nice chap called James. When I told him about the Noel Leeming's 20% off sale he said he would match that and when I mentioned this forum and people getting an extra 5% off he agreed to that too. So ended up costing me $797. Just have to wait 2 - 3 weeks now for delivery.

I bought the One X a week ago and the galaxy s3 today. At this point I would say head for the S3.

The One X is a good phone yet my grumbles were:
1. Battery life - although not as bad as some are describing you could see slide deplete quite quickly whenever I used the phone for longer than 10-15 minutes.
2. I purchased the phone through warehouse stationery so it was telecom branded. The major issuethere is that telecom are still dragging their heels with an update from 1.26. Very frustrating as updates supposedly improve battery life.
3. I found the HTC shape less friendly to hold compared to the galaxy 3.

Am bias here, as I own a One X, but the Samsung GS3 did not do a lot for me.  Used one all day on Friday, it seems so quick and smooth and better in the hand than the One X, but I hated touchwiz and it felt cheap not like a premium device.  See how thin the plastic is for the back cover?

My only issue with the One X is Telecom dragging their heals with firmware updates.

That being said, I could use either and really it is 6 of one and 1/2 and dozen of the other.

I've just finished my final review comparing the two, I'd still say GSIII at this stage

same reasons as above, telecom are dragging their heals with the v1.26 update.

Games are overall slower on teh One-X, the camera is slower, although better in lower light. the battery is terrible on the One-X, have trouble lasting 12-13 hours! v1.28/29 will fix the battery, and hopefully the games. But the GSIII feels like a more quality device, and is actually a lot nicer looking in person!
