jamanda: After much googling and price comparisoning - the cheapest available in AUS minus the 15% GST works out as only $100 cheaper than buying one here at normal price coz the exchange rate isn't too hot. So I might do some more digging over here first to see what's what with duty free. I'm sure parallel imported or one of those offered me a duty free option on a camera a few years ago when flying to the UK.

gst in oz is 10%

divide price by 11 and that's the portion of gst

This is slightly off topic. Have you looked at samsung series 9 laptop? Mine s the 15 inch, core i7, 8GB, 256 SSD. It is an awesome laptop. Thin, light, 2sec boot is crazy (from shutdown not sleep). Oh, also gorilla glass.

Yup, the samsung series 9 was also under consideration, the asus has gorilla glass as well. Next job is to see if Zagg have a screen protector for the infinity yet.
