are you sure the current is the same? My samsung tablet charger at home says its 2.1A and my phone charger is rated at 1A. The output are the same (5.xx V) but the currents are different.

But do try charging using the charger that came with the tablet..

ahh, try using that to charge the tablet instead of the blackberry phone charger.. you should at least notice a bit of difference.

Ok, so today I used the 'offical' Sony charger. Tablet was 25% when I started at 8am and finally reached 100% around 12.15pm (note, I charged with tablet powered off). So that's a little under 20% an hour, being 5-6 hours required for a full charge.

So, overall, it's pretty disappointing. The tablet only has average battery life under use and it takes forever to charge. The actual device itself is a wonderful piece of kit, but, with the benefit of hindsight, I probably give this tablet a miss as I'm not interested in having something sit on the power cord most of the day, every other day.

I agree that it takes quite a while to charge, I'm just waiting for the charging dock to come out cause it will charge alot quicker.

Just love this tablet, with stamina mode on, the battery life for me is two days at least.

I'm not sure I want to drop another $100 just for a charging dock, so will be interested to hear your experience. If charging substantively better, I may reconsider and buy.
