+1 for movies, books and magazines too. Although I am fairly well served in the latter by amazon and zinio.

320 bit rate is pretty good. Better than the 128 some are still selling.

It needs AAC support. I'd be happy to stream 128-192k AAC over mobile data, but doing 320k mp3 over mobile data is terrible.

hmmmm this has got me thinking.

I have been using the US play store for a little while now. Even bought some music.
I wonder how this change will affect my existing content.

Spotify Premium also uses the sonically-superior Ogg Vorbis format to boot!
Even the ~160kbps Ogg Vorbis they employ for standard (non-premium) streaming is much better than most mp3 of the same bit-rate.

I have moved on to streaming with spotify for 13 per month. On my pc, HTC One X and my Sonos system.

If this had been movies I would be interested but no we still get a hobbled crippled service compared with overseas.

Another fan here of Spotify, for $12.99 a month and over 15 million tracks which can be cached to your device, I see no reason to pay per album or track, and lots of newly released albums are on Spotify.

You can buy the music from any computer, using any web browser, and download on to your computer, than transfer to any device. You do this all through your Google account.

You can download the music you buy twice through the web interface, and unlimited times (I think) using the Google Music Download manager.

Hopefully this is the first step in hardware purchasing being enabled also.

Agree with everyone else, this is too late to really excite me. Can't remember the last time I paid for music.
