johnr: Have you done a hard reset since the JB update? This spoken about all over the inter web, If after a update battery life is crap do a hard reset wipe the handset start again
I had the same issue going from 2.3.x to 4.0.x on a S2 hard reset sorted it out issue also impacted a good mate of mine
This what I did to my Telecom SII and totally solved all of the problems. Doing a factory reset wipes everything but you end up with a clean JB install. Once you log into Google play store, your apps will download and install again, one by one, but the difference being is that they are the latest versions not the previous installed versions which were for ICS. It takes a while to do but trust me, it makes your phone operate like new again.

Hmm I'm having the same issues, might have to give this a try I agree that the modem on the JB rom is not as good as the ICS rom on the i9100t

So I did a factory reset last night and it has seemed to make a difference, my phone seemed to be running out by about 8pm each night, now it still has around 30% left and it is 11pm wahoo that gives a little bit of breathing room
