After the JB upgrade my S2 was hopeless - batterywise and lockup wise. Factory reset got it back to acceptable but I still think I had less background apps closing when it was on ICS than now.

My LG Optimus Black won't last two hours with wifi on at work, but will last longer at home too. However my HTC Desire X with the same sync settings will happily barely use any all day no matter what network its on. Both phones run the same firmware so has to be down to crappy chipsets or poorly written drivers.

I did a back-up and restore last night. Its like a new phone. Not one hang after some pretty intensive usage.
The wifi problem at my work is not fixed, but it is a lot better. A hell of a lot better. Within acceptable limits I would say.

Thanks for all the good tips.
Jeff
