The mounts from Proclip are awesome, no screwing anything to your dash

Nice easy web site, choose your phone, with or without case then your vehicle model and year and voila they tell you what components are required

If you change phones, you just just change the holder for the new phone too

Highly recommend on of these which I am using for my Nexus 4

http://neograb.com/

I like it because:

  • It's small and decent looking. Some of these things are bulky and ugly
  • It sticks to basically anything, not just glass. I have mine on top of my dash as I don't want it on the glass. It's that "leather" texture dash plastic and it sticks like a charm
  • You can unmount/mount the phone with one hand
  • Swivels in all directions so easy to turn phone to landscape mode for satnav or what have you
  • Comes in multiple colours if that floats your boat

A good find, I like it! I think I'll try this when my cheap dx mount breaks.

US$35 to NZ with internal saver shipping. That's 7 times my cheap dx mount though, but it's certainly one of the more compact and streamlined design.

Another alternative is the air dock, currently an indiegogo campaign http://igg.me/p/622245/x/5948996

Built in Qi charger, some fancy nanotech to make the phone stick to it
