But they improve your analogue tv reception as well......

Notes:
- Up to 20m range.
- You must have Vodafone broadband.

We have a client in the CBD who seem to be in the 'bermuda triangle' of cell coverage. They rave about their SureSignal since installing it 18ish months ago.

I presume they don't work , can cause problems with reception and basically are bits of tinfoil.

I work as in am mobile in these areas. Lincoln, Rolleston, West Melton. For example. Hey can't even get a signal at the local supermarket at the hub Hornby.

Is outer of the first two locations. West Melton is bad on all networks. But other phones work better than my gs4

Get the Telecom store at the hub to'loan' you their best option.

Personally have generally found Candy bar devices perform better (perhaps less internal noise from screen drivers etc).
You could try one to these.
Call forward from your smart phone to keep benefits of smart devices......

I went to a presentation that said they evaluated various phones for rural use and the S4 is what they chose. Telecom is generally best but like people have said, consider trying another carrier.

Whatever you do don't get a Nexus 5. Reception is crap. At work I have to leave it positioned in a specific spot on my desk or it looses reception. Admittedly we are in not the best place for cell coverage but on my old iPhone 5 I never went below 2 bars. Some days if I am not careful I can completely loose reception and have to reboot the phone to get it back! None of my work colleagues seem to have issues like this.
