timmmay: It's probably mostly their way of getting you to buy more stuff on amazon.

Well given the width and breath of the eco system, doesn't sound bad to me.

It's not like Apple products aren't pushing you to buy Apple offerings.

From Engadget: "(On a related note, the phone is locked even when you buy it at full retail price directly on Amazon.)"

Reviews universally panning the device really. This phone is absolutely to be avoided, even for those deeply invested in the Amazon ecosystem. Could be interesting in a generation or two though, if they follow a similar trajectory of improvement to that exhibited by their tablet line which went from "meh" to really good in quite a short space of time.

from the videos i was impressed with it, but i do love my android!

the price is high, and i'd be inclined to wait & see if pricing comes down & they offer any unlocked or international versions - but thats a bug unknown.

ive been holding out for the Note 4, currently have Note 2 - its awesome

📱 - I love Big Phones & I can not lie! #notelove

Samsung Galaxy Note II, Note 4, S7 Edge, Note 8, S22 Ultra
