BigHammer: It's so they can hear your reaction when you win the big one. O_o
nzseries1: Clearly, they need your GPS location so if you scan a ticket and it turns out to be a Division 1 winner, they can sell your location to the media who will then promptly turn up at your house.
And they need "phone status and identity" so that if you scan a Division 1 ticket, they can get your name and address from your mobile provider and come and harrass you that way.
This may not be true of course... but with the permissions you agree to when installing the app, it is easily possible.
I will not be installing this app until they take away the need for "location" and "phone identity".
