NZtechfreak: Good screen, *snip* hoping they announce a similarly specc'd phablet.

When did 5.5" cease to be classed as a phablet? :-)

Since they all became 5.7-6+"

I can't be dealing with a puny 5.5" screen.

Considering pre-ordering this from Clove for approx $960 including shipping.
However, I can't tell whether or not the UK version will have support for 4G band 28. Anyone able to shed any light?

We've finally just had the leather black edition LG G4 released in the UK, however it has been snapped up by Dixons Carphone as an exclusive handset so only to be sold via the CPW and third party websites.

In terms of price, the G4 in black leather is available from £35 a month with no upfront cost on Vodafone, as a comparison the brown leather LG G4 is free from £31.99 a month so CPW are charging extra for their exclusive model.

When comparing the leather clad phones to the hard-backed plastic versions (in metallic grey and gold so far), the brown leather is currently priced the same on contract as the titanium metallic grey model, ie: from £31.99 no upfront cost.

The price difference only becomes apparent when looking to buy SIM free and unlocked, the plastic models are priced at £489.99 and the leather backed editions start from £509.99.

These are current prices and so are likely to change as further retailers receive stocks and release their deals.

LG's website has additional leather backs for $NZ92 plus p&p. The circle window covers for $62 plus p&p. Can't see any decent 3rd party covers yet.

The Clove version does not have Band28 700MHz LTE

Expansys is showing a version with Band28 700MHz LTE but no price.

Thanks, just noticed that myself. I live in a 700MHz LTE zone, so going to have to hold out until the Band28 version is able to be ordered...

I THINK this page is new. I don't think it was there when I searched a day or two ago.

Hey guys,

Just want to get some clarification on LTE spec, both for my interest, and because if LG is indeed the Nexus 5 2015 manufacturer, the G4 is the most likely platform they would work from if i had to make a guess.

I can find these variants from a search:

  • LG G4 H815 (International LG G4)
  • LG G4 H818 (International LG G4)
  • LG G4 F500L (Korea LG U+ LG G4)
  • LG G4 F500S (Korea LG SK LG G4)
  • LG G4 F500K (Korea LG KT LG G4)
  • LG G4 H810 (ATT LG G4)
  • LG G4 VS999 (Verizon LG G4)
  • LG G4 H811 (T-Mobile LG G4)
  • LG G4 LS991 (Sprint LG G4)
  • LG G4 US991 (US Cellular LG G4)

And i found confirmation on XDA that the box of the H815 has the following listed on it:
H815 LTE Bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20, 28

Is this the complete band set? Curious if band information is available for other models.

Haven't you been busy eXDee :-)

I notice the one on the Expansys link from TurM has the designation H815T. This is also used in the official LG site in Hong Kong http://www.lg.com/hk_en/mobile-phones/lg-H815T Unlike all the other LG sites this one also has the band information, and is given as: 3G: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz, 4G FDD: 2100(B1) / 1800(B3) / 1700(B4) / 850(B5) / 2600(B7) / 900(B8) / 700(B17) / 800(B20) / 700(B28) MHz TDD: 2300(B40) MHz.

Anyone got a feel what the T suffix is?

Does anyone have any experience in purchasing from Expansys? Any hidden costs I should be aware of before ordering?

We've worked with Expansys for many years, we vet all of our partners and will happily recommend their service, that said, if you are looking to purchase the LG G4 in the UK then there are cheaper prices for the SIM free phone ...

https://www.phonesltd.co.uk/LG/G4_Metallic_Grey_Deals/SIM_Free/SIM_Free.html

Expansys = £529.99

MPC = £489.99

SPC = £489.9

Quite a saving!

Thanks for the feedback on Expansys. Unfortunately they're the only ones I can find that stock the variant I'm after - Leather Red and 4G band 28 support.
