Ok I've been using the phone for the last 2 weeks. I just wanted to give some feedback incase if you're considering buying it.
First of all this phone is big if you don't like big phones this is definitely not for you. But being a big phone brings some advantages. The screen real estate is massive the keyboard is all spread out, for the first time in my life, in last 2 weeks I haven't pressed a wrong letter and misspelled a word!
The battery life is great. I charged it yesterday morning and was on it constantly all day with heavy usage, now down to %5 and charging at the moment. The quick charge is great too 1hr max and you're done!
The camera is ok. it's not the greatest camera in the world but I don't consider 'the best camera' on a phone as a 'must' it does a good job, low light photos are not that great and has a 2 pixel front camera.
Marshmallow has a new feature called 'Doze' google it. It works flawlessly I go to bed at night with %70 charge and in the morning I have %66. that never happened with iphone.
And the best part is stock Android, best firmware in the world. user friendly, doesn't limit your usage, creativity and personalisation. and you get constant updates straight from Google.
I unlocked my phone and running a custom ROM. it only made the phone faster and more stable. the battery life is x2 better..

So here you go this is what I think about my first Android device. Before buying this phone I was very concerned about the size and couldn't decide between Lg G4 and this. I made the best decision. If you have concerns but still can't decide definitely go for it. This phone will still get the next (or two) android updates I can assure you won't regret it

oh btw get the white one blue one is a fingerprint magnet and looks boring.

any questions, ask away...

I'm on Chroma but thinking of switching to Pure Nexus as it'll have more customisation I just want to compare the two.

Belated reply to this thread. I missed out on the Black Friday deal for the Nexus 6 32GB for $199(US) but just saw Amazon had it for US$249(32GB) and after some procrastinating I bit the bullet and bought it. With tax (CA) since it's going to a local address where I will pick it up, it will be about $400(NZ) which seems like a great deal. I could not justify the N6 and anyway I would not miss the fingerprint reader, I am know I would miss wireless charging which I presume the N6 still has.

Can't wait. My N5 still works well but the battery life is so variable and it gets hot. Plus I keep running up against the 16GB memory limit even though I store very few songs on the phone and most photos are in Google Photo on the web.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Well I finally got my N6 when I was in the US. I wanted to pop in my TMobile card which I use whenever I travel there but TMO wanted to charge me $25 for a nanoSIM to I decided not to. That means I never managed to check the phone on an actual network over there.

Over here on Vodafone it seems fine. No paying VF $25 - the SIM I had had a popout for the nanoSIM size. I am getting 4G byt that is probably Band 3 (1800) since there are no other bands in the US model that are used here. That should not be an issue though.

Agree with the OP the phone is big but it doesn't take too long to get used to.

Only thing I miss is the notification light that the N5 and other Nexus phones hafe/ There is apparently a light on the N6 but it requires root to enable. I did try one rooting method but that failed and I have given up for the moment. Plus I understand if the phone is rooted it won't get OTA updates and might fail with apps like ANZ GoMoney. Not sure that is a big deal at the moment since GoMoney is pretty underwhelming.
