Nexus 5 screen replacement is a pretty easy DIY job, and the screens only cost about $50 with tools. Look on Youtube for guides.

Other than Nexus handsets are there any actual pure Android devices out there?  I saw the comments that "Moto's are pretty pure" and then there's the Ultra's that are pure with "just a couple of extra apps".  But I guess I was just wondering if there was anyone other than Google putting out a decent mid-range device and then just plonking pure Android on it with absolutely no extra bells and whistles?

The Ultra has no extra bells and whistles, it has 3 Vodafone centric apps (no use to me as I'm on 2D) of which 2 can be deleted and the third sits redundant in amongst my apps no drama.

My HTC One running Google Play Edition rom was pure android but was customized to take advantage of Beats audio, my daughters moto g is customized to handle dual sim, all are "pure" android in my books, if you are familiar with one you are familiar with all
