I've since changed to S7 Edge..

Software was flashed a few times..
Thought I'd share my experience in case others have the same issue.

Mine also recently started doing this, ended up using it as an excuse to convince the better half I needed a new phone. Where did you get your Samsung batteries from? Seem pretty expensive, but I'm sceptical of the ones that claim to be legit Samsung replacements on trademe

I got mine through PBtech but they screwed it up so bad they eventually got one direct from Samsung for me...

Here's how to tell if it's a proper, genuine Samsung battery.

If it's about $70, then it's probably real

If it's about $30-40 then it's almost certainly a counterfeit (and I have no idea how good or bad they might be)

If it's under $30, don't be stupid :-)

Cheers- N

I have this issue with my S4 that I bought not long after they came out in 2013, It just dies at about 10% without shutting down properly I have a second battery that I bought from Noel Leeming in 2015. which doesnt do it but seems to die even quicker (but it may be because I went a long period without using that battery)

@Talkiet mine was about $55 from Noel Leeming online store and included a charger

Same problem developed with my Note 4 about 10 weeks ago. A new battery did not help with both of them now displaying the the same problem - phone runs down to 18% and then shuts down within 5 minutes. Last week, I plugged my phone into the charger within 2 minutes and it had already dropped from 18% to 9%. Even though it was plugged in for a minute, it still shut down. I noticed that although it was showing as charging, the counter was still dropping until it shut down.

Very frustrating and I would have hoped that the move to Marshmallow may have fixed it ............ but nope, same problem today.

It is so strange that this has developed recently, especially as I have not added a new app in 9 months or more.

Bought an S4 for the wife from harvey norman a few years ago..

They had a fault with batteries as well, they were warping and in my wifes instance wasn't allowing the back cover to close..

Battery got replaced but phone since then had always been crashing and causing lots of other issues..

In the end Samsung refunded the cost of that too.. so ended up getting another phone..

Glad I'm not the only one having issues with S4 and Note 4..
