Do be aware that the American version only has one 4G band compatible with NZ frequencies - on Spark or Skinny only.

Yep, they missed band 28 once again.

Almost bought one the other day before realising one plus had skipped band 28 support. Seems they are doing it all over again, Is a shame.

Their charging soultion is a unique one out there that i wannted to put to the stress test.

I actually dont know how to check what version you have. There must be some guide online for it. Could you please check what sort of speeds you are getting on the network? Speedtests maybe?

Also would be good to see what sort of battery life you are getting over the next couple of weeks. Screen on times etc.

How is the screen lag? I have heard OP are some of the worst touch screen lag times but would be good to see your experiences are.

And your feedback on the software - I would say definitely one of the best Android skins available.

When you look in detail at the number of nice phones that support band 28, it is really quite small. Most of the grey imports do not, and there is only a couple of countries that use it - NZ, Taiwan, small part of Oz from memory. Why NZ ever went down that road is beyond me. Yes I know it gives slightly greater coverage, but that's a fat lot of use if most of the phones don't support it.

Nokia 6110, 6210, 6234, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Huawei Ideos X5 (Windows Mobile), Samsung Galaxy SIII, LG G4, OnePlus 5, iPhone Xs Max (briefly), S21 Ultra. And I thought I hadn't had many phones - but the first one around 1997.

I'm looking for a new phone too. I have a Nexus 6, it's a great phone but started to show some aging. How's your phone so far are you happy with it? Does it make any difference having no band 28 or band 18 is enough? For example do you get 4g on rural areas etc? I'm on 2Degrees btw

cheers

Hi.
Absolutely love the phone. It has certainly lived up to all the hype for me. It is very fast and responsive. I get 4g in some rural areas not all. But there are many elements for and not having 4g in rural areas.

I live in rural Akl and seem to get it in different areas of my house. Alternatively 3g works just as well for me at home. But mainly o WiFi.

Cheers

What "Android security patch level" do people have? Could be curious about Marshmallow, and Nougat for those that were lucky to get the update.
