More leaks, this time from a case maker. If true, phone is rumoured to have a 5.7" screen encased in hardware not much bigger than current S7 ...

Are you being sarcastic?

It has smaller bezels, no hardware button etc. It's pretty significant in my eyes. Unless you were expecting one that was round or something? :)

Wonder if the battery will last 5 hours straight out of the box and then progressively get worse from there on in like every other samsung.

Nice looking device but im finding it hard to see people reaching the top of that huge display with their fingers. I hope the UI isnt junk either.

Funny I've owned every Samsung flagship and note since 5 and NEVER got 5 hours from it. I most days get 10 hours easily with some gaming and phone calls and texts

Maybe im that small minority that is just unlucky.
My S6 Edge plus came from factory with a terrible battery, Lasted about 5-6 hours without evening using it, Got it replaced and that had the same issue.. I stripped the OS out and got a whole day out of it without using it much.
Fast forward a few months i threw that phone in the bin fully functioning and all. The battery was shot.
Now i have a S6 Edge and that also has the similar issue, But it takes about 7-8 hours of standby and a few uses to die.
I have only ever charged these phones on samsung OEM chargers. Never in a car or head deck.
My s4 was actually pretty good with its battery IIRC.

I remember creating threads a year ago about that issue, I got an extra hour or two out of the devices.
How does GSM arena get standby and useage stats. Ive never owned a phone (Vanilla) that achieves half of the proposed stats.

Update: I get around 1:45 of SOT and 9 hours of standby on average. Before 100% flat.

Ill be lurking after launch and asking people how their batteries are.
Either that or the iPhone will be my next device. All my friends have them and no issues :)

And now a 3-D render. Even though my S7 will be my last Galaxy, I have to admit the S8 looks great.

I'm going to hate to think how much the s8 and s8+ are going to cost :(

Really wish it had forward facing speakers as well.

Rumour is that the S8 will be more expensive than S7.

I really like the look of the G6, I prefer the more-squared shape and minimal bezels, but without the Samsung curved edges.

The G6 will have an older processor, and the camera may struggle against the Samsung, but in other areas, like DAC and skin it may win out over the Samsung.

Price will almost certainly be lower than S8 given the processor.
