Also, if you're ever adding an SDXC card you're going to need a UHS-I Class 3 like the SanDisk Extreme. I can tell you that the Kingston UHS-I Class 1 simply doesn't cut the mustard if directly saving photos to it from the camera app or using it as adopted storage where it acts like internal.

No need for a memory card with 32GB storage - my wife currently uses 6GB of storage for apps and data so she'll have heaps with 32GB.

Yeah - I did see you mention you wouldn't be needing one earlier so I posted more for reference for other people in case they were moved to get one and did need more space.

$200, thats good value.

like all motos, there is nothing pretty about them, they are thick, chunky and solid. they havnt changed their aesthetics in the 25 years Ive been using them. Remember the original clam shell, everyone else at work had that new nokia or the tiny erikson. I got given the Clam Shell lol.

would it be fair to say they are one of the better companies for support and updates?

Yeah they're not particularly attractive phones with the big beezel, but they're not awful either. Saying that, most phones look near identical with only very minor differences really. For $250 they're great value, and yeah they do get updated better than most Android vendors.

how well does the adreno handle games? yeah the looks dont worry me at all.

the benchmarks for the cpu are 1/4 of an sd835, but you get what you pay for. im considering a nokia 8 as they have all the high end hardware and look nice but only $600ish. But you can get a samsung 8 for about $800 now, i just think that beyond my sensibility for a phone.

if i hadnt heard so much negative talk about LG phones id buy a v20 for all its hardware.

the new xiaomi note pro had a 4000mah battery and they arent much to buy.

so many phones it gets confusing with what you really NEED.

I'm fairly impressed by Motorola's updates. My wife's Amazon sourced Moto G5 is getting Android 8.1 today. It's 18 months since release, two years is about what I'd expect from most manufacturers but not all do it. Well done Moto :)
