After using the G7 a few days now, I'd say the camera is acceptable for the price. Not mind blowing but I did get some good shots out of it. The sky tends to get blown out with landscape shots and if you look at the photos on a computer then it won't be amazing. It's the sort of phone I can give to my mum and the camera works well enough for her to take some snaps of the kids then share them with me. If you want the phone purely for photography, then it wouldn't be my first choice but as an overall device it feels good.

I've had mine for a week. However I've only set it up in the last few days. Slightly worrying is that the bluetooth connection in the car is appalling. Music plays just fine, but voice calling (which is important) is terrible. I can't hear the other person, horrible static or underwater sound.
I'm not sure how this can actually be fixed as there doesn't appear to be many settings to be changed.

I haven't tried the phone for calling in my car but can give it a go when I get home to see if I notice anything similar.

You checked under developer options? There are a few bluetooth settings there.

Cool, I'm having a look through them now. But they're not clear what they actually do.

I just tested G7 via bluetooth with my car (Mazda 3). I rang another phone and recorded a message. Sound came through nice and clear at good volume. My garage is a bit of a bunker so that was even with poor reception.

Other mobiles work in the car ok?

I'm not too sure how your car is setup but I know my Mazda can get software updates for it (although I haven't needed any yet).

The Bluetooth developer options are very useful, but mainly for selecting a specific Bluetooth audio codec - SBC/AAC/AptX/AptXHD/LDAC and choosing the LDAC bitrate/behaviour. I don't use in-car Bluetooth but I understand there are all sorts of "this phone" + "that head unit" incompatibilities across numerous brands of both.

I may have solved it, inadvertently. I need to test it when the car is moving. All I did was update all the LG crap, there were a few quite large updates, but no Android update. I'll report once I've tested it again.

I have to get an adapter for what was a quality head unit in its day, annoying, easier to buy new head unit. Do any come with blue tooth under $300? (cost of adapter)
