part of the issue of small phones is the battery. can't shrink the battery, so phone has to be bigger to have any decent battery life if you want amazing processor amazing screen amazing always on features
#1 = An old Nokia that I carry in my pocket and is my main phone.
#2 = 5" Android that lives in the car for the odd occasion I need to inter-web or app something when out and about.
People love to hassle me about the Nokia, but it still beats everything else for battery life, ruggedness, ringer volume etc, unobtrusiveness, good for sports and boating, and life knocks. It Bluetooth's to the car and has 32Gb of MP3's on it, so I'm not missing out on much.
I work on a computer, and have several computers at home, and a PC beats a smart phone in every regard except mobility, so I don't often need a pocket computer.
I have a couple of appliances around the place that requires a smart phone app to control - each has a retired android dedicated to it. i guess its a modern take on remote controls.
