it's AFC whatever that is, and though on checking the listing it says it supports "5.0A super fast charging" with "huawei p30 mate pro" does not work with the samsung galaxy s10 plus.

AFC = Adaptive Fast Charging = 9V/1.67A = 15W

AFC has been used Samsung's default fast charging standard since Galaxy S6 series and is based on QC2.0.

Any good quality USB C cable should support this as it doesn't require high current (Ampere)

And yet oddly we have tried 4 non samsung braided cables (not cheap) and none work with the 15w chargers. is more annoying for the partner as their phone is a work one and they could not find the cable so IT have been trying all sorts, which dont charge my phone either. They will just have to order a new samsung cable, the charger works fine for the phone as i tested it on my phone which is an identical charger.

One annoying part about samsung cable i find is they are short. but could be the modern way, just bad UX.

Have you checked fast charging is toggled on in settings?

Yes it's greyed out when the cable is plugged in and turned on when I unplug the cable

ok i take it all back.

the fast charging greying out is regardless of what cable i use. i greys out when I connect to the charger.

the 2m Baseus 5.0A cable charges the same time as the short samsung cable. (phone gives an estimated time to full charge)

so i conclude that it works the same.

Baseus is good to go!
