@xcubed I think I read on one of the recent updates that they were going to provide a downloadable update file and instructions on how to install it manually, for the units that were affected by that bug.

@gehenna: na, that fix is for stability. I'm not having any stability issues with it.

Got my unit last Friday, great product, unfortunately I have a Xiaomi phone so unable to simultaneously connect to 4g while connected via wifi to the AAW unit. Now a known issue with this brand of phone in their FAQ and no solution. Hoping a Android 11 update might help in time.

Connects fast enough and can use google maps (offline) and Sygic GPS (offline) if I start sygic app before entering car otherwise sygic app crashes as it thinks it has internet connection via wifi when it hasn’t.

Got home from work tonight to find my AAWireless parcel was sitting waiting for me on my desk :) Took about 2.5 weeks to get here (dispatched on the 9th according to the tracking).

I know what I will be playing with tomorrow on my day off :)

The new app update released a couple of days ago resolved the update issue I was having, so I'm now running firmware 1.2.0.

The auto-video option in the new firmware/app is really handy, Android Auto now appears on the headunit as soon as it connects.

Works like a dream since the last OTA update. For me, it was plug n play. following the instructions easily in the app. Fortunately for my radio I did not need to change the USB Mode and it worked first go.

I had to flash the boot loader fix that has been mentioned in the last few updates due to the CPU DRAM Issue and probably affects the others here on Geekzone that have backed it. No issues doing that, very easy to do following the instructions on a Windows PC.

I did have the slight issue that it would disconnect the phone and the radio would say Please check your phone to continue using Android Auto however the DRAM Fix and the latest PTA update has resolved this. Also had an issue where Spotify would cut out every few seconds when playing songs, however, the latest OTA Update has fixed this too :)

I had a play with the experimental DPI Feature. Well, it worked a charm and displayed the new Widescreen Android Auto Layout (setting the option at 105) perfectly I ended up resetting it back to the default DPI as I found it too hard to see some of the information on the screen.

My Xiaomi phone finally got the Android 11 update today so now my phone can connect to AAW and 4G data at the same time making the AAW device that little bit more functional.

Working mint in my mazda cx5, just ordered another one for another car, have to wait till October for shipping lol.

Such a great product. I think Google should offer these guys official internal support if they want it
