No I just looked at the 3G/4G bands the handset works on

Thanks. Do you think there might be any problem with compatibility of Google Pay, ANZ Banking, etc ?

As covered many times on Geekzone if you want services to work with no issues like Wi-Fi calling / VoLTE  / ETC........

Then do not purchase a imported handset, Sometimes features do work first off and then BOOM a update is pushed out and they stop working

I'm a brand loyalist - that phone has a lot of the features that appeal to me, plus it's a Samsung, who have the phones I like to use.

Processor? Not such an important factor to me. If it's fast enough for what I want to do with it, that's all that matters (to me).

After discussing with some people I decided not to go for the A41. I will get A31, the only drawback for me is that it's 1cm bigger, but no big deal, it is now $100 cheaper, has 2 years warranty Samsung (the imported has one year local store warranty), and I am dealing with NoelLeeming instead of a store that has some so-so reputation!

Kogan came back to me and said GST would be included in the price, but I'm still not sure if import duties would be included or not.
I'd happily get it from somewhere like Parallel Imported, but they don't even sell it :(

I don't think you would need to pay anything extra. Kogan and DickSmith are in Australia, but targeting only New Zealand customers. It doesn't make sense then to have import duties on every single item sold. Most probably the prices include everything.

I purchased a A31 from NoelLeeming today; end of doubt!

It's the features (and size) that work for me...but still weighing up my options.

i compared a Galaxy A30 with Galaxy S20 and the A30 literally takes 10x longer to do anything.

now that i've said it I bet someone would correct me and say it doesn't use a mediatek but whatever the case, I couldn't stand it and gave it away. it felt unethical to even sell it!

Still thinking about it...

Is there a reason why Samsung don't sell this handset here but they do in Australia? I thought we followed Australia's lead.
