Yes...I too was wondering if there'll be countersuits in the US courts when Apple releases a telly that looks like a Samsung.

Despite having several Apple devices and thoroughly loving the user experience they bring, I am over the Apple vs the World mentality that they seem to be bringing to the marketplace, with all the suits, countersuits and litigation that they are engaging in.
And then you have the likes of this...TM potentially being in breach of the law due to copyright issues - despite there being no issue with the likes of telecom selling the V9 or whatever it's called - even though it's physically identical to an APAD II...

Still grumpy.

I think I will stick it on Sella.

Also - if anyone's interested: Barely used APAD II for sale.

I noticed those being pulled. One of them at least used the text "Haipad". That might have been the problem with one at least, but not yours I think?

Telecom's advertising doesn't include a photoshopped Toshiba HD DVD logo like your ad does though... :P

Edit: Not to mention "Full HD 1080" on an 800x480 screen!

Guessing the Full-HD is via HDMI on an external 1080p Full-HD screen.

Easy mistake, but hay ban all reference to "Full-HD 1080" I say, it could be mistaken for 480i American NTSC Standard Definition TV.

Didn't use that pic in my trademe listing.

I used a couple of photos I had taken of the box and the device with all peripherals out of box with screen on and clearly showing an Android home screen.

The pic I used here was off the PB Tech website - which is where the device was from in the first place.

Ha, it looks just like an ipad and it's called an "A pad". Whoever makes this is trying to copy the ipad.

It could confuse some people .

And it's gone again...

A mere two days before the new listing would end and with a lot of interest and questions answered: plus twice stating in capital letters that THIS IS NOT AN IPAD, they've gone and pulled it again, sending me the same email as last time.

Seems a bit on the nose, to me.

Yet again, heavy handedness, pandering to Apple.

This time I listed it as:

7" Android Tablet
THIS IS NOT AN IPAD

Then listed what is is, what it's specs are and again that it's not an iPad.

I now officially hate Trademe.

I wish anyone luck in trying to sell a Galaxy of any kind.

Since I got a reply back in 5mins and nothing all afternoon ill post what I got told here:

"I write news and articles for a local Android news site, androidmobile.co.nz.
It has come to my attention that Trademe is reportedly removing APAD listings due to their similarity to Apple's iPad. This behaviour has even continued when the seller has stated numerous times it is not an iPad within the listing.
Is there any comments you would like to make on the issue?

Only parts I left out were the typical greeting stuff.

"Starter for 10" I think is a reference to the time he replied. Then its telling me to send a email to the trust and safety guys who deal specifically with IP issues as I sent it to the media crew.

Then I question him asking him specifically why it was pulled when seller stated clearly it had nothing to do with apple. Then some reference links showing other tablets similar to the sellers available for sale and then stating there doesnt appear to be any consistency as seller (handsomedan) has now had his listing pulled several times.

Hopefully that clears it up?

The "Starter for 10" was always the first question in any given category.

As a "Starter for 10" was always a question, it doesn't make sense here.
