Sorted it. If you push the tuner button another menu pops up, with options for sound etc, if you select "other" it takes you to more bluetooth options where you can load new devices. Once there is was simple. Enter the code while in the player mode, then when I went to phone mode it did it automatically.

I use the Camry fairly often as a rental and the setup is this.

Turn the car on to Accessory (so the radio starts playing)
Press the Call Answer button on the Steering wheel
You will get Welcome on the stereo's display
Press the Tune/File knob
Turn the knob until Pair Phone
Select Phone only or Int Audio (int audio will allow you to play music via BT from your handset)
It will ask you to record your name.... do this... Johns Phone etc...

Somewhere along the line it will display a pin number for you.

So instead of turning the car on and searching for BT on your phone, you have to activate the car BT to be searchable.

I've found once paired it works seemlessly (with Nokia handsets at least)

Hmmm this one is a little different, doesn't have phone controls on the wheel. Only dash display and stereo controls.
And yeah once I paired it right it has been 100% since.

I've had some issues with a 2010 Rav4 - seems good most times but need to repair every kernel change. This is with a Galaxy S i9000 running MIUI so repairing happens at least once a week.

Has anyone managed to transfer contacts from their phone to the car?  I've always had to manually enter the numbers in or find them from the recently used list.
