Infotech is selling it now. The price is a bit steep though.

Also now 1 on TradeMe, $150 cheaper

http://www.trademe.co.nz/mobile-phones/vodafone/samsung/auction-429079410.htm

If Somebody wants to make a "Whos interested" thread like the SGS2 I think they should, rather than people posting prices/where to get it etc on the owners thread.

It will drop like lead, don't you worry.

At that price, they are making a handsome profit.

Give it 2-3 weeks, and the price should settle around the $1050-1100 mark. Expect it to drop under $1000 by January.

Intersting finding, when you press the volume button you can then press the phone pic on the left of the volume icon that comes up and you are in silent mode. Previously i was doing it the long way thru settings. Silly me.

Hi Guys

Got my Nexus from clove delivered yesterday and works much better then my sgs 2. However i have noticed that there is a sim icon on the notifcation bar, which i cannot get rid of? I cant disable it in apps section either. Is really annoying to have it there all the time. I am on voadfone network and as soon as i put my wife's telecom sim in, the icon does not come back at all?

Does anyone know how to get rid of it? The phone is not rooted so any suggestions without rooting the phone will be very helpful.

Thanks
harry

SIM toolkit icon (in newer sim cards)

afaik, you need to be rooted to get rid of it

Got work to get me a Nexus from http://handtec.co.uk - delivered in less than a week - work got GST bill. Loving it compared to stock SGS I had before - screen is wow (but hogs power - looks like will need to charge every night...).

Beware that it seems plenty of apps are unavailable or broken on ICS.

Exchange mail works and is fast - that was my biggest gripe with old phone.

First part of Lokhor's review up at the blog: http://www.androidnz.net/2011/12/galaxy-nexus-real-user-review-part-1.html

My own first part should up with Clove in the next day or so.

Been reading about the Galaxy Nexus., Real keen on getting one
The ones on trademe seem kinda dodgy, not to mention kinda dear.
I've been looking at overseas sites (primarily in the UK) such as mobicity, handtec etc but am still quite skeptical as I have heard some real horror stories about buying overseas
What would be the best place to get it?
