theitman: Yes they have been around a long time and have a reasonable reputation though they tend to be very expensive usually.

Well I got my Sensation from a different importer, and I asked them about the OneX, and they said they had not had any confirmation about whether they will stock the OneX or not, so they had no availability details or price indications.

I haven't used Expansys, but I personally haven't had an issue with an imported phone. It was a blank canvas, unlocked and not carrier specific. I have only bought the one phone that way though, but 1 from 1 is a good percentage haha.

Clove is expecting stock on the X/S in early April as a rough guideline, although technical issues at the foundry could push it back a few weeks

Just remember about GST. Neither site include GST in their screen prices, so factor in an extra 15% on top in case customs decide to hit you with it.

GST = VAT? So really its about $820-$830 from Clove.

Sorry for going off topic.

So to make this post on topic, im tossing up between the Xperia S and the HTC One X. Personally I think the HTC One X may be to big for my liking, but I am waiting to see what all the reviews come up with.

You won't be charged VAT, only GST on entry to NZ (and possibly not even then if you order Royal Mail, which has downsides too widely discussed here at GZ before).

I'd take the One X over the Xperia S in a heartbeat (not that I'll take the One X at all, no micro SD assures that, and I'm extremely suspicious about how it's battery life will perform).

Yeah battery life is something I'm wondering. So will be a couple of months after release before I get one. See what others find first. Several times when travelling I've needed to swap batteries in my Desire.

Ahh ok cheers mate. Yeah I read your posts on the Xperia S thread here on GZ so I know your reasons why.

+1 for waiting to see what the abttery life is like on the HTC One X

Indeed.

I'm actually not opposed to non-removable batteries per se, as long as they are big. Wish others besides Huawei had taken note of what Motorola did with the Razr Maxx!

I'm getting one.

Looks like Expansys is about the GST amount cheaper than Mobicity if both are GST excl.

Whats the service like through either of them? anyone had any experiences.

Cheers
