Thanks D3, hadnt seen that. Looks tricky but I guess would be clearer if you were actually doing it step by step.

Sweet, I'll have a go at using that trick to switch apps over.

The other issue I'm having is I cannot sign into Twitter.
Not from the onboard app, peep or even from the internet from the handset.
Keeps saying I have entered an incorrect user name or password.
Anyone struck this? Very weird!

Twitter have just made a change to their 3rd party authorisation system and so now all 3rd party apps are required to re-authorize using OAuth ... HTC Peep / Friendstream haven't been updated to do this, so that's why it isn't signing in to or updating to/from Twitter.

Which is a bit of a bugger, since Friendstream lets me update to fb and Twitter in one click :( I'm trying out Twidroyd for now.

As for not being able to sign on using the internet ... not sure, maybe you're typing the password wrong?

So twidroyd works ok for you?

Lol yes I am sure I'm not typing my password wrong ten times on 3 different logins :p
I even changed it to something simple to make sure :p

Downloaded and installed Twidroyd about half an hour ago, and it looks like it's all okay.

Back to my memory issue....
I haven't tried the trick to move all apps.
But I am now down to 78mb free.... And all i have done since I last posted was update the chess game I have, and uninstall two widgets I d/l and decided I didn't want. This does not seem very right to me!

System panel, while cool and handy in other ways, doesn't actually give me an idea of whats taking up the room.
Is there a way I can look at the big picture and see how much is OS, apps and data like pics or whatever etc?

On a related note, for all Desire users - check out the new radio - 32.44.00.32u_5.09.05.30_2 !
Better WiFi and Cell strength, and less-laggy 720p video recording!

Running LeeDroid 2.0 at the moment, only scored a 1337 (honest) but i think that is due to my SD card not being that great.

Although running the benchmark I noticed the graphics appeared to be better.

I'm afraid that's not possible without gaining root access due to the default permissions set on the /data/ folder.

Oh ok, bugger.

Hopefully I won't run out.... I've only installed 15 apps and to be honest I can't see myself installing many more. But I'd be gutted if I ran out of room!

Other than that I am as happy as happy can be with my Desire. I am blown away by the options built in!

I finally got my Desire last week - ended up buying from Expert Infotech - and so far I'm loving it :)

I got the prompt to upgrade to 2.2 on Sunday night and that all went smoothly.
The main thing that I have noticed so far is better battery life, but I'm not seeing much other differences.

The biggest difference is that you can now install/move apps to the SD card, freeing up precious space on the phone. Another big change is support for Adobe Flash 10.1, meaning which you can browse most Flash websites properly... unlike some over-hyped devices. *cough*

actually, i've had 2.2 on my phone for about a month, and passively/periodically check the market for Adobe Flash 10.1 ... I hear only Nexus Ones can see it in the market?

Can anyone else with non-rooted OTA 2.2 Desire see it in the market, or is it just me?

Mine had it already installed.... was an update waiting for it when I first turned it on
