wazz: Pretty frustrating being so far behind on updates, I don't see why it should take the NZ telcos any longer to push out an update.

It's not the update, it's the kernel source. They all link to the same file.

Oh right, should've guessed... time to ask Telecom how long it's going to take to push it out

Who would then? I really doubt HTC does it themselves, and if we got the Asia region update it looks like we'd be getting 1.29 by now, with 1.28 on our phones over a week ago
motorwayne: On 1.28, the battery life is just average real world )not sh1te, but not great). Truth is, if you make calls, use some WiFi, browse the web, answer some emails, play some music, take some photo's and post them to FB, alot, all in one day....
You should probably have a car charger and or a spare charger either at work or home to give the device a top up, should it need it, which ain't hard unless you're soft.
