Bout the same as the iPhone.

Seriously though, charging it in the car as I drive is just normal practice for me, was for the iPhone too.
I think any of these BIG screen devices with a Quad core processor is gunna get hit by the screen sucking up the juice.

My main battery drain today was screen and calls.

But don't let the battery stop you buying this device...it is soo sweet to use, I just love it!

Not quite sure what happened with my previous post, I was trying to edit it and wiped it completely so I appologise if it comes up twice.
I have just been reading in XDA about a possible bug in the HOX where its available storage seems to disappear, i.e. data + available storage doesn't equal 25GB. In some cases up to 11GB has disappeared and users are getting 'out of storage' messages when they have way less than 10 GB of data stored. There seems to be some connection to using USB mass storage mode to transfer files from a PC. Rather than paraphrase everything, here is the link;

I note on about page 12 of the thread that a response from HTC acknowledges there is a problem and that a bug fix is being worked on.

So have any of you local HOX users, particularly the bloggers/reviewers for telecomtech, experienced any of this memory behaviour?

I tried out the tests described in that thread several times, and did not lose any extra space when transferring files to or from the phone via usb (which I do all the time). Available space decreases by exactly the size of the file I have just transferred to the phone.

Hi guys. Have been reading through this post today as my husband and I are very keen to get the HTC One X phones. Went into 2 degrees yesterday to have a bit of a play. Very nice I must say. And quite bigger than our current phones.
We would be looking at paying $749 for the phone on a $39 plan which we currently use with 2 degrees and find that really good.
Phone is a reasonable price considering we both paid $1099 and $1199 for our phones that we have now which are 2 years old. We have the HTC Desire and HTC Google Nexus One.
Love HTC as we have had no problems and the phones are running smoothly. Just get to the point now where we are running low on storage space even when things are moved to the SD card.

Some issues that have been raised with the HOX have been that there is no SD card - does this matter??
And also no removable battery? I guess if the battery faults we would be ok under warrenty or consumers gaurantee act.

I do see that Samsung are releasing there next version of phone too the S3 to rival the HOX. How would you go about deciding between the 2 as it which would be better?

Which cases are good for the phone for those who have them? I like the look of the fitbag - pretty cool. and do you need a screen protecter?

The question of the hour!

Many people struggling over this question, and the answer isn't that clear cut. Can I ask what the most important aspects of the phone will be for you? Browsing? Music? Video? Games? GPS? Does it need to be future proof enough to see out two years on contract?

In most respects the S3 has superior hardware specs (and where it doesn't it has equivalent specs), but those may not matter to you depending on what you want from the device and the weighting you put on things. Give us a little more information and we can give you better advice!

I will be seriously looking at the SG3 (White) when it arrives and if:

It functions better than the HOX in the hand (The HOX volume rocker is just in the wrong place and i hit it all the time)
It doesn't look plain & cheap (The HOX looks great)
It has better smoothness (The HOX is jerky IMHO)
It has better battery life (The HOX is poor)
I like touchwiz enough (I quite like Sense 4.0)

I will buy it and sell the HOX as soon as you can say "Gone". Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the HOX, but the vol rocker, jerky swipe, poor battery etc just annoy the heck out of me. On the other hand if the SG3 in real world (motorwayne's world) is ghastly, then I'm sticking with the HOX until another phone comes along.

The iPhone is dead, long live the Android.

I found sense was super laggy and agree about the volume rocker.

Weird... I find the exact opposite

I actually find I hit the rockers on my desire more. I guess people hold them differently so is very person dependant

I'm fine with the volume rocker and installed Apex Launcher, which is buttery smooth. Also got no problem with the battery.
