been using Nova launcher since S2, works great on S3 but is up to individual. Apex similar but didn't use it for long.

Yeah, I use Nova Launcher and have done since its arrival when I had the S2. It's pretty much exactly what I need and in a simple straight forward app. Occasionally I look around for alternatives but always end up back with Nova.

I've never found better than SPB 3D Launcher but I have yet to try it on my S3. I've been having battery concerns which I think relate to a sync issue with my exchange account which now appears to be sorted, so once I have a baseline I'll start changing stuff.

Anyone got baseline for battery?

GEONXT: Does anyone else get home screen load lag?

Occasionally I do - I'm on stock but am using ADW Launcher which I don't think has been updated for quite some time. That might be causing my issue.

Use Holo Launcher its great

Any other recommendations for launchers? I was using Launcher Pro for quite awhile on my SII but then switched to ADW which I am still using on my S3.

Holo Launcher does look pretty good to me, might give it a whirl.

Nova Launcher and Apex Launcher are both pretty good. I am more partial to Nova because it has a couple of extra features which make things easier.

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

Used to use LauncherPro+, then ADW launcher. Would not recommend either now, since it is apparent they are abandonware. Since ICS I've been with Nova (same dev as Widgetlocker), and it is very good. Not much in it between Nova and Apex really, both are being well supported and have basically the same feature set.

NZTechfreak, ever had a play with SPB3D? I just threw it on my phone and I have to say I love it as much on the S3.

I have, but not for some time now. Last time I did it was extremely limited compared to the likes of Nova with no scrolling widgets, no configurable gestures for quick access and so forth. It may have improved in the interim.

Thanks for the advice, I have tried this but it did not make a difference. I have tried Nova and launcher and I still get
the lag. I have go launcher at moment some nice features but still does not fix the prob. if this does
not happen to anyone else it must be a setting or an app?

Does anyone know a way to change the colour scheme of an exchange server email INBOX (not the email message itself) from white on a black background to black on a white background?

Google hasn't been helpful, except in finding others with this same unanswered question.

(Stock ROM but rooted)

Never! :)

Should probably remove that LastFM code from the sig, since I haven't used it in ages.
